Meet the Team

Say hello to the team at Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning

Stephen Fox

Founder, Managing Director & Lifestyle Financial Planner

About me and my role

I’m the founder and Managing Director of Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning, and I work as an Independent Financial Adviser based in the North West of England.

My journey into Financial Services began after 11 years in the Aerospace industry, where I held various Project and Business Management roles.

In my late 20s, I decided to follow a more defined path within financial services, eventually specialising in lifestyle financial planning.

My main strength lies in simplifying complex topics and tailoring my communication to suit each client. I’m often told this approach is refreshing in a field that many people find overwhelming.

Who am I at home?

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. Supporting my two sons at both primary and high school, especially when it comes to their amateur football matches, is a big part of my life. I also enjoy keeping fit — which helps justify the occasional glass of wine with friends!

George Ramsden

Lifestyle Financial Planner

About me and my role

I began my career in financial services in 1999 and have gained extensive experience across the advice profession. My journey has included providing financial advice, working in compliance as a consultant, and progressing into senior management within a large regional advice firm.

These roles have given me a broad understanding of the industry and enabled me to contribute to the development of advisers and trainee advisers through the design and delivery of effective training and development programmes. Supporting others in building the skills and confidence needed to succeed as advisers has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my career, and I am proud to have played a part in that growth.

I am passionate about delivering a high standard of service and believe that clients should feel informed and confident in every recommendation they receive. I take the time to ensure advice is clear, accessible, and tailored to individual circumstances, and I am always happy to answer questions throughout the process.

With more than 25 years of experience in financial services, I bring a well-rounded perspective, a depth of technical knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions that best support their needs and goals.

Who am I at home?

Most of my spare time is spent with my family, albeit the children are growing up now! I also enjoy reading, watching and playing football and going to the gym.

Colleen Aspinall

Senior Adviser Support

About me and my role

With 27 years of experience in business management, support, and communication, I’ve developed a strong track record of delivering practical solutions and building lasting relationships. My approach is very hands-on, and I enjoy being a reliable and trusted part of the team.

In my role, I ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the business — from managing client relationships to streamlining internal processes. Supporting the wider team and ensuring everything runs efficiently is something I take great pride in.

Who am I at home?

Outside of work, I spend as much time as I can with my daughters. I love visiting my youngest at university and supporting her at football matches. I’m also passionate about the outdoors, and you’ll often find me out walking with my cockapoo, Willow.

Junior Finanical Planning Administrator

Alfie Fletcher

About me and my role

I’m at the beginning of my career in financial planning and work as a Junior Financial Planning Administrator.

I support the day-to-day administration behind our client work, helping to ensure everything is handled accurately and efficiently. I enjoy the variety of the role – there is never a dull moment, and each day brings different tasks, new challenges and opportunities to take on more responsibility as I gain experience.

I particularly enjoy meeting clients and being part of a team that helps people feel more confident about their financial future. I’m also working towards my professional qualifications as I continue building my knowledge and progressing within financial planning.

Who am I at home?

Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym, playing football and padel, and watching football – especially Preston North End. I’m also passionate about travelling and experiencing new places.

After leaving college, I spent two months travelling solo around South-East Asia, which opened my eyes to different cultures and gave me more confidence. I also love spending time with my lazy French bulldog, Cliff, who spends most of his time asleep.

Emma Pye

Paraplanning Consultant

I am part of the Compound Paraplanning team and support Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning on an outsourced basis as a Paraplanning Consultant.

My career in paraplanning began 8 years ago, when I moved into financial services after completing a degree in Fashion Design. Since then, I have developed my experience supporting advisers and helping to produce clear, accurate, and well-considered client recommendations.

I enjoy working with a wide range of clients, and I value the variety, challenge, and continual learning that paraplanning brings. I believe good paraplanning should help advisers deliver a high standard of service and give clients confidence in the advice they receive.

Who am I at home?

Outside of work, I keep busy with my two boys who love football and take them to training/matches or have fun dressing up with my little girl. When the weather is nice, we like to go to Wales and stay at our family lodge for holidays.

Rachel Harper

Paraplanning Consultant

I am part of the Compound Paraplanning team and support Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning on an outsourced basis as a Paraplanning Consultant.

My experience in financial services spans more than 10 years, during which time I have developed and strengthened my paraplanning and technical report-writing skills. I achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2025.

I believe my role is to help advisers deliver reports that are comprehensive and compliant, while also being clear, personal, and focused on achieving the best possible outcome for clients. I am passionate about producing work that supports both the adviser and the client in a professional and approachable way.

Who am I at home?

I am a scuba diving instructor and spend my Monday nights teaching diving in a swimming pool and as many weekends as possible diving the cold but fascinating seas around Scotland, occasionally venturing further afield to the warm waters of the Red Sea. I also enjoy travelling, my favourite trip was exploring Thailand and spending a week at an Elephant sanctuary.

My puppy Bailey is an English Springer Spaniel, I love training him, however, despite his big ears he seems to be deaf to my commands. There is nothing I enjoy more than exploring the local footpaths and fells with Bailey and returning tired and covered in mud.

Richard Jennings

Paraplanning Consultant

I am the Founder and Director of Preston-based Compound Paraplanning and work with Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning on an outsourced basis as a Paraplanning Consultant.

With more than a decade of experience in financial services, I provide high-quality paraplanning support to help Steven and the clients of Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning make informed decisions.

My career began in 2011 and has included roles in administration, paraplanning, and paraplanning team leadership, giving me a broad and practical understanding of the financial planning process. I achieved the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2023.

I am committed to producing clear, thorough, and client-friendly financial planning documentation, enabling the Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning team to deliver an excellent service to their clients.

Who am I at home?

Though Yorkshire born and raised, I moved to Preston back in 2007 when I enrolled at the University of Central Lancashire. Fast forward to the present and I am now married to Claire and am a proud Father to two (soon to be 3) beautiful children.

As a family, we love to spend time outdoors. You can often find us venturing back over the Pennines to watch Huddersfield lose or heading up to the lakes to climb one of the 214 Wainwrights.
