Stephen Fox

Founder, Managing Director & Lifestyle Financial Planner

Stephen is our founder, and the Managing Director of Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning.

He is a highly qualified Independent Financial Adviser and is located in the North West of England.

Stephen joined Financial Services following 11 years within the Aerospace industry within a Project & Business Management /  role eventually opting to enter a more defined financial services environment in his late 20's focusing on lifestyle financial planning thereafter.

Stephen’s key area of expertise is his ability to simplify quite complex subjects and tailor his delivery to his audience which we are often told is a breath of fresh air in an area a lot of people find confusing.

Outside of work Stephen enjoys spending time with his family, supporting his two sons at both primary and high school and their mutual amateur football pursuits and keeping fit which allows the odd glass of wine with friends.

Charlotte joined Fox Lifestyle Financial Planning early in 2021 following many years in a customer facing role outside of a financial services.

Charlotte was able to quickly transfer her Administrative & Relationship skills into our business and continues to add real value to our team on a daily basis.

Charlotte joined us as an Administrator but has quickly moved through the ranks and now heads up our Client Relationship and Administration division.

Charlotte is focused on being front of house for all client enquiries and continues to support the advice team on a daily basis with all administrative issues as and when they arise.

About me and my role

My career as a paraplanner started 8 years ago, when I switched to Financial Services after getting a degree in Fashion Design. As a Paraplanner, I enjoy working with different clients which makes my work varied and interesting. I also appreciate the challenges and learning opportunities that come with it.

Who am I at home?

Outside of work, I keep busy with my two boys who love football and take them to training/matches or have fun dressing up with my little girl. When the weather is nice, we like to go to Wales and stay at our family lodge for holidays.

About me and my role

My work experience in Financial Services spans over 10 years, and during that time I have developed and enhanced my Paraplanning skills. I have a level 4 diploma, and I am pursuing Chartered status.

As a Paraplanner, I believe it is my job to help an adviser deliver a comprehensive and compliant report, but my passion is to ensure that reports are personal, concise and produces the best outcome for our clients.

Who am I at home?

I am a scuba diving instructor and spend my Monday nights teaching diving in a swimming pool and as many weekends as possible diving the cold but fascinating seas around Scotland, occasionally venturing further afield to the warm waters of the Red Sea. I also enjoy travelling, my favourite trip was exploring Thailand and spending a week at an Elephant sanctuary.

My puppy Bailey is an English Springer Spaniel, I love training him, however, despite his big ears he seems to be deaf to my commands. There is nothing I enjoy more than exploring the local footpaths and fells with Bailey and returning tired and covered in mud.

About me and my role

My career in Financial Services began in 2011 and I have worked for various Financial Services companies across the North West. My role initially began as an Administrator but progressed into Paraplanning and then managing teams of Paraplanners.

After two years in the industry, I achieved my Level 4 Regulated Diploma and became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2023.

Although we work in a technical industry, I believe that the end product in Financial Planning should be easy for our clients to understand, and this is part of our role.

Who am I at home?

I am married to Claire and am a proud Father to two beautiful children. Family is very important to me, and we try to spend as much time together as possible – this is why I drag them over the Pennines with me every other week to watch Huddersfield Town (lose).

As a family, we want to spend time outdoors. We have planned (and started) to climb all the Wainwrights together and aim to go camping in our huge 9-person air tent at least 4 times a year.
